Leona Hlavinková

Leona Hlavinková studied Packaging and Book Design (doc. PhDr. Eliška Čabalová) at the Faculty of Arts of the University of Ostrava. As part of her studies, she also participated in the Erasmus programme abroad at the Faculty of Design in Katowice under Anna Machwic and at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bratislava under Slovak illustrator Dušan Kállay.

Her latest title, on which she has collaborated with the author Ondřej Zabloudil Pechník, is a children’s book entitled Little Dog Goes to the Moon. This book is for all kids, parents and dog owners who are wondering what it would be like to go on an adventure or suspect that their furry friends are secretly building a space rocket in their backyard.

Leona’s current work is mostly graphic design, children’s illustration and teaching as a high school art teacher.
