Sharon Harmer

Sharon Harmer lives and works on the south coast of England. She has been a freelance illustrator for over 15 years, working mainly in children’s publishing and art licensing.
She has illustrated over 50 children’s books from pre-school, board and novelty books, educational and picture books. Clients include: Little Tiger Press, Ladybird, Lerner, Miles Kelly, Marks & Spencer, OUP, Pearson, Pat-a-Cake, Parragon, and Simon & Schuster.
Many of her greetings cards and designs can be found in the shops. Clients include Abacus, Barnados, Museums & Galleries, Noel Tatt, Simon Elvin and Whistlefish.
Sharon especially enjoys creating characters, and her illustrations are a mixture of traditional and digital, incorporating hand drawn line, and painted textures. Style inspiration includes retro design, collage and print, quirky characters, colour, patterns and texture.
