Art historian, curator and manager of the Centre for New Strategies of Museum Presentation (CENS). Graduate of the Department of the History of Art of the Faculty of Arts of Brno’s Masaryk University; also studied Sociology at the Faculty of Social Studies of Masaryk University. In 2001 Rostislav Koryčánek founded the Era magazine for architecture, published in Brno by ERA; he was its editor-in-chief for five years. From 2007 to 2012 he was director of the Brno House of Arts, where his projects included Sculptures in the Streets and the Brno Architecture Trails. Active on a number of professional juries and committees, since 2001 he has been a member of the academic council of the Faculty of Fine Arts of the Brno University of Technology.
