Zuzana Štelbaská

Author, translator and reader of books for children and young people. She has been working in the media since she was fifteen, starting in local media in Prešov, later working at RTVS as a presenter, scriptwriter and dramaturge, and today she is the editor-in-chief of journalism at TV Markíza. In her books she focuses mainly on children’s stories, which are often inspired by real events. She writes for all children’s and YA ages, and the setting of her stories and short stories is strongly influenced by her relationship with nature and animals. Her book Mami, Buy Me an Elephant was adapted into a series of the same name for RTVS, directed by Bohdan Sláma.
